- Hook: Daiichi 1100 in size 16-24
- Thread: Black 8/0 Uni-thread
- Body/Tail: Pheasant Fibers (brown )
- Thorax: Peacock Flash Dubbing
- Wing Case: Pearl Flashabou
- Rib: Fine Gold Wire (optional for durability)
Tying Instructions
- Secure thread at head, wrap back to just before bend.
- Tie in several PT fibers for tail (don’t trim).
- Wrap thread forward, don’t wrap over PT.
- Tie in wire and wind back to bend.
- Wrap PT forward for body. Leave room for thorax.
- Counterwrap wire forward. Secure and break Wire.
- Tie in several strands of pearl flashabou.
- Build thorax with peacock dub.
- Pull flash over top, secure and trim.
- Tie in 8-10 PT fibers pointing forward.
- Split PT fibers evenly with needle and pull back each side and slightly down.
- Wrap the thread over the base of the fibers.
- Whip finish, cement.
